So we ended up getting our new/used car yesterday. I just have to say that I love this car. It's perfect for us. I love the color too. I think this is going to be a very good car for us. I love it so much I'm going to share a photo of it with you all.

Barbie Girl

Does anyone else know this song by Aqua? Well I just love this song. I don't know why but I do. Well yesterday I decided I was going to add it to my music player on my blog. I was singing it as it was playing and Shane started singing it with me. It was so cute. I couldn't help but giggle. So today I was surfing the web and Shane was playing while Megan was napping and out of no where I heard him singing Barbie Girl Barbie Girl. I thought it was so cute. He always has a way of making me laugh even when he isn't trying too.

Megan decided today that she was going to stand up in her booster seat at the table and climb onto my counter. This girl is fearless. I'm so afraid she's going to break a leg, arm or something worse. I just don't know what to do with her. Any suggestions? Her brother was a little less of a dare devil but this girl seriously doesn't have any fears, that I know of. LOL

We maybe getting a car tomorrow. I'm hoping the guy doesn't back out of the deal. It will be an even trade for our truck. We need a car so bad. I'm tired of not being able to go anywhere because we can't all fit in the truck together. I miss being able to take the kids to the park and hang out or take them out to dinner for some fun family bonding time. Keep those fingers crossed for us, please.

Oh, I have such a wonderful husband. Remember a couple of weeks ago when I posted about Shane breaking my camera? Well, my darling husband has decided he's going to be getting a new one tomorrow. I'm so excited to be able to take pictures of my munchkins again. I found one that I want at Staples for $109.99. The only Staples that is close to us that carries it is in the next town over. Good thing our Best Buy does price matching. Woot Woot for a new camera. I can't wait.

Until next time. . .

Love

Wow! I can't believe how much life gets in the way sometimes. LOL

Christie came out with this little mini probably a couple of weeks ago and I'm just now finding the time to work with it. I really did love working with this mini. The papers are gorgeous and I love all of the glitter and bling in this kit. Be sure to swing by her shop at Inspiration Lane to grab this adorable mini.

Here is the preview for the kit.

And my layout I made with it.

Love Life

I completely love being a mom. Yes our life has its ups and its downs, but what is not to love about kids who love to snuggle up in your lap and love on you. What is not to love about seeing your childs face beaming with pride when they've accomplished something new and great? What is not wonderful about sneaking into your child(s) room(s) at night and watching them sleep so peacefully and angelic? What is not wonderful about seeing those perfect little smiles and the sparkle in their eyes?

I love playing games and watching my kid(s) create their masterpieces. I have been truly blessed. I love all of the madness even when I think I'm going to lose my mind. LOL It's what keeps my life fun and exciting. I can't imagine my life without these munchkins. Homer and I waited a long time before starting our family and I am so glad we did. We have 2 perfect (well in my eyes) children. Yes they don't always get along and they fight but you have to love it when they play so well together and when for no reason at all they just climb up into my lap and want to snuggle. I guess no matter how big they get they will always want mommy snuggle time.

Remember. . . No matter how crazy or mad your life gets always cherish the little things.

Until next time. . .

PT'ing Adventure

I am so excited about the success of potty training Shane. He hasn't had one accident in over a week. I can hardly believe it. He's not going poo in the training potty. He does that in the grown up potty. I just can't believe how fast he's picked up on it. I guess it's because he was truly ready this time around. I'm so glad I decided to wait longer to train him. I'm happy he's almost done before he turns 4 and before he starts school. He won't start school until 2010, but I'm definitely glad he's on the right track. We didn't do the "reward" system either. The only reward we gave him was the way to go we are so proud of you reward. Apparently, that was the only reward he needed. We did buy him a couple of new packages of undies after we were sure he was on the right track. So Daddy went to the store and got him a package of Cars undies and a package of Spider-Man undies. He was so excited that he wanted to wear a pair right away. We let him of course because we decided that if Shane was that excited about his undies then he would be more likely to not go poo in them. We were right. LOL I'm just so proud of him.

Until next time. . .

On our way

I am so excited. Shane is well on his way to be potty trained. It has been 2 days without any accidents. The other day he even went poo in the adult potty, not his little potty. I can't believe how well he is doing. I'm actually pretty amazed at how well he is doing. It's been a very long road and this last time he seemed to just grasp of the concept and run with it. Who knew? Not me. I was starting to think that he was going to be in diapers for the rest of his life. LOL Ok not really but you know what I'm talking about. I'm just stumped why he didn't do it before now. He acts like he knew the whole time what he was supposed to be doing. I just don't understand why he didn't. I guess it's really my fault for not taking him out of diapers earlier. I just believed that he would do it when he was ready. I do still believe he did it when he was ready he just needed a little nudge in the right direction.

Our plans for this weekend. Swimming! Yes, I can't wait. I've been wanting to take the kids swimming for a long time and now with the weather being so nice and all I can actually take them. I'm so excited about that. I won't be able to share any pics because Shane broke my camera the other day. I'm super bummed about that, but I'm hoping within the next month I'll be able to get a new one. I've got my eyes on a 10 megapixel Sony Cybershot. It's only $125 right now at Best Buy. It's just going to have to wait a little while unless we get lucky and win some money on scratch offs. LOL My husbands favorite hobby. LOL I think that about sums up the last 2 days. Not really much going on around here. The same old stuff just a different day. LOL

Until next time. . .

Silly kids

I remind myself constantly that I love my children. LOL They do the darnest things. I'm surprised they haven't been seriously injured. My darling little Megan is going through the "climbing" stage. She has to climb on everything. Of course Shane is going through the "Monkey See Monkey Do" stage. LOL So he sees her doing and has to copy her (just to get the same attention). Trust me he knows better, but I let it slide when I'm snapping pictures of her being "bad". LOL This morning they are sitting at the table eating breakfast and I was posting my early post (2 in one day not bad) when I looked up and saw Megan literally sitting on the table eating her cereal. Why you ask? I have no clue. She's just like that. She's a daredevil like her brother. He was never afraid of anything, except the swimming pool, go figure. So I snapped a couple of photos of them and decided I would share with you. Don't mind Shane sporting his Thomas the Train undies. We are potty training after all. LOL So without furthing ado, photos of my munchkins.

In response to a comment I got early to Baby Jayden, we started working with Shane about 6 months ago, when he was 3. I'm a big believer in they will do it when they are ready. He was doing so good and then all of a sudden one day he just stopped. He wouldn't do anything but throw himself on the floor if we tried taking him. So we stopped working with him for a while and then we tried slowly getting him to try. That failed. Well 3 days ago it dawned on me that he was just flat out refusing to go because Megan is still wearing diapers and his mind set was "Well she's wearing diapers why can't I?". That just wasn't going to fly with me. He's almost 4 now and it is time for him to be in big boy undies. So 3 days ago when we got up, I refused to put him back in diapers. We took of the one he slept in the night before and he had a meltdown when I wouldn't put another one on him. He got over that and put on big boy undies. 3 days later he's gone pee 3 x's today with no accidents. *knock on wood* I still expect he will have accidents because it's only been a few days. He still hasn't gone poo yet and I know that will probably take longer than pee but we are working on it. I don't punish him if he has an accident and I don't bribe him to go. When he goes pee, he proudly brings me the bucket to show me, we high 5 and I tell him how proud I am of him. Then we go to the bathroom, he dumps the bucket in the toilet, flushes, and rinses the bucket all himself. I'm just there to show him how proud I am of him.

Why isn't he going in the bathroom? Because it's just easier at this point for him to go in the potty chair in the living room. When he gets more comfortable with knowing his urges he'll go to the bathroom.

I know this is a little longer than 90% of my posts but I felt in order to answer appropriately I needed to make it longer.

Until next time.

The Wedding!

I've been so focused on potty training Shane that I have failed to update on the wedding of my MIL. It was such a great day. She loooked fabulous and was so happy. Weldon, her new hubby, is such a nice man. She deserves a good man. She's been single for so long and I honestly think this is what she needed to make herself feel important and loved. I can't remember the last time I've seen her so happy. Here are a couple of photos from the wedding.

The KISS ~

On a side note, Shane went potty first thing this morning in his chair. I can't believe how well he is doing.

Until next time.

He did it!

Ok so I'm a very proud mommy. Today I decided I was going to take Shane out of diapers completely. This morning he was a little upset with me because I wouldn't let him put on a diaper, but he got over that. He didn't have one accident all morning. So proud. So he was sitting at the table eating lunch got up and ran in the living room saying Shane has to pee pee. I sat here and watched him. He took his undies off and sat down on the potty. He peed in the potty. He had a small little accident on his way to the potty but nothing major. I'm so excited. Another step in the right direction. I just hope he keeps it up. Hopefully before to long he will be completely trained.

Until next time.
