Project ~ Happiness

I thoroughly enjoy it when I have both of my kids home. S did not have school Friday because it was Good Friday. With both of the kids home I decided to do something fun for lunch.

Tortilla Pizza

I went to the store and grabbed everything we would need. Tortillas, pizza sauce, cheese, and all of our other favorite pizza toppings. I let the kids each make their own (which is always the most fun). We had an absolute blast and I could tell the kids enjoyed "making" their own lunch. Tortilla pizza is such a quick, easy, and fun lunch idea. I think I will incorporate it into our lunch schedule while S is out of school for the summer.

What makes you happy?

What I Love About You

Hey everyone! I am back with a quick post. Dawn aka Daybreak Scraps has an uber cute new release this week. I fell in love with this kit the second I saw the colors. They are fabulous! You can scrap a variety of pictures with this kit. Photos of your husband/wife, sisters/brothers, sons/daughters, etc. Be sure to check out her store at Funky Playground for more scrapping goodies.

Project ~ Happiness

I started doing this once upon a time and completely let flounder. I don't know why I start things and can't finish them. I stumbled across Leigh vs. Laundry's blog again yesterday (because I follow her on facebook too) and decided I was going to start participating again. So here we go. . . this is technically Week #7, but my Week #1.

Houston Zoo

We decided we wanted to take the kids to the zoo; unfortunately, we live in an area that does not have a local zoo. The closest zoo to us is 3 hours away, but from what I heard it is not a very good zoo. So, the beginning of April we decided to pack up and head to Houston (10 hours away). We had a blast visiting family and taking the kids to the zoo. They had so much fun going through this little tube that ran through this large tank. S went through it a couple of times and M went through it way more than a couple. According to Grandma (who we got separated from), M went through the tunnel 10 times while we were waiting outside for them. I loved seeing the pure excitement on the kids faces. Here are a couple more photos from our Zoo Adventure.

Until next time. . .

Beautifully You

Hey everyone! I know I have been so extremely absent and I beg for your forgiveness. School and life has take hold of my life and I seriously feel like I have no time for anything else. I did manage some time to scrap for the fabulously talented Daybreak Scraps using her newest release, Beautifully You. OMG, I just fell in love with this kit. The colors are so pretty and it is truly perfect for those beautiful little girl angels in your life. Below are the preview to the kit and my layout using it. Be sure to run check out Dawn's store at the Funky Playground. You won't be sorry.
