The Happiness Project

A friend of mine had shown me a blog yesterday and said I should join her with posting. I figured why not. It's just one photo a week of something random that makes us happy. I can do that right? Well I had settled on a photo of H, the kids and I. Then I woke up thinking I know a different picture that makes me completely happy. I took the following picture on a trip to Houston for Christmas. It made me smile when I saw it and I knew that was the photo I was going to use for today. So without further ado, my very first post of the Happiness Project.

Isn't it just majestic?

Just Me and My Girl

The other day H and Megan were sitting on the couch, as they usually do. I just happened to get a super adorable picture of them and thought to myself, she's such a daddy's girl. Then as I was searching thru the store at Digital Scrap Cafe I stumble on this adorable kit called Simplicity by Aprilisa Designs. I knew this was the kit I wanted to scrap that precious memory of Megan sitting all snuggled up with her Daddy. Simplicity is such a fun kit, with the doodled flowers and the fun papers. It really is a must have for your scrapping arsenal. Below is a preview of the kit and the layout I made using it.

Smile!

Hey everyone! I'm back with another fab kit to show off! I really love being about of the Creative Team at Digital Scrap Cafe. I picked Smile by Pure Creativity Designs to work with this go round. I took some adorable pictures of the kidlets brushing their teeth and this kit was perfect for that. Do you have pics of your kidlets at the dentists office or brushing their teeth? This is an absolute must have! The papers are super cute and the elements are just super fun. My favorite were the toothbrushes and the tube of toothpaste. Here is a preview of the kit and the layout I made using it. Such fun!

Many Different Sides of You. . .

I had the chance to work with Strawberry Girl by Catia Cunha. Such an adorable kit. She seriously has some talent. These papers and elements are just adorable. I can see myself using this kit over and over. This kit is perfect for those precious little girls in your life, a strawberry patch, or even your favorite strawberry dessert. The possibilities are endless. Here is a preview of the kit and the layout I made using it.

I used a template by Val C. Designs, who just happens to be the Designer in Spotlight at Digital Scrap Cafe until June 15th. She has a great template challenge going on now as well as an awesome sale. Be sure to check it out while your there.

So "AWESOME"!

As one of my first assignments at DSC I requested to work with the kit Awesome by Double Dutch Designs. I've been in search of a boy kit that will work with pictures of my son as he grows up. This kit really is AWESOME! It was such a joy to work with. I love the papers, ellies, and not to mention the swatch itself. It is truly the perfect boy kit. The possibilities are endless with this kit. Below is a preview of the kit and my layout using it.

Woot! Exciting News. . .

As some of you may know. I had decided to get back into the CT portion of the digi world. I applied for 2 CT's. 1 I didn't get, which was a little disappointing, but the other 1 I got accepted too. I am super thrilled to be creating for Digital Scrap Cafe. I already have my first kit that I am working with. It's super cute boy kit. There are tons of cute girl stuff out there but it is hard to find a cute older boy kit. So stick around, I'll be back with my layouts of the kits that I get to work with. Who knows maybe I'll even be back with a few freebies once in a while.

Until next time. . .

Recent Work

So as I've mentioned I've decided to get back out into digiland. For the month of May I participated in the May Daze Challenges at Elemental Scraps. I had a blast doing the challenges. I forgot how much fun it could be. So I thought I would share just a few of my layouts that I created. I won't bore you with all of them, but just some of my favorites. I am not including all of the credits but each image will be linked so you can check out the credits. So without further ado. . .

On a side note, I was not accepted to 1 of the CT's I applied for. However, I was accepted to the other one. I am keeping it under wraps until I am told that I can announce it but I am super excited about being back on a CT. Keep an eye out for future layout posts and maybe some random freebies from me.

Until next time. . .
