Hey everyone! I am truly sorry about my really short entry the other day. I have been extremely busy trying to prepare for Thanksgiving and failed to post all of the previews for the kit.

A Tribute to Tyler is still available at Scrapable and Funky Playground. It is truly an amazing kit and such a steal at only $10. There are over 100 papers and 100 elements. All of the proceeds go to Tyler's family to help them in their time of need. Tyler's Dad was let go from his employer while he was away taking care of his very ill son. Their story truly touched me to my core. It is devastating what they are having to endure this holiday season. You can read their story on their CaringBridge site.

A Tribute to Tyler was created in loving memory of little Tyler Burdick who has lost his angel wings, but continues to touch many hearts. 31 very generous designers have come together to create this amazing kit. There are over 100 papers and elements, 7 alphas, plus styles, templates and wordart. It is full of all things boy! Everything from cars, trucks, planes, robots, and dinosaurs. You get all of this for a very low price of $10. Yep, you read it right! $10!! Tribute to Tyler is available at Scrapable and Funky Playground.

Charity Collab

Hey everyone! I am so sorry it has been forever and a day since I have posted. Things around here have been extremely hectic with baby #3 on the way. Anyway, I wanted to share some news that is going around the digi-scrap community.

A little over a month ago I stumbled across a family who was facing devastating circumstances via a friends Facebook update. I personally do not know this family, but there story touched me so much, especially considering I am a parent myself. This family has three boys, one of which was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 4 months. He went into remission and then relapsed when he was 2. Sadly they lost their sweet boy not to long ago. The Father lost his job while being away to care for his son. So not only have they lost one of their children, they also have no income.

Since there story had touched me so, I asked a dear friend of mine if she would head up a charity collab kit for this family. My dear friend gladly accepted the challenge and has been working very hard to attract as many designers as she can to help with this very special kit. All the proceeds of this kit, minus fees, will be going to the family for whatever expenses or needs they have that still need to be met. A Tribute to Tyler will be hitting the digi-scrap stores hopefully this weekend.

I am asking for everyone's help in passing the word on this very special kit. It really is going to helps some wonderful people who are faced with the tragedy of losing a child. Roller Coaster Ride

Today has been full of emotions. Sometimes I find it hard to put my feelings into words, but this time I am really going to try.

My younger sister has been fighting renal failure for several years. While I have no idea how hard and difficult this is for her, I can imagine. Knowing that you are fighting for your life can only be energy consuming. After several years of waiting and doing the necessary steps in order to prepare herself for the transplant, she has gotten "the call" twice. Both times something has happened that prevented her from getting her kidney. These blows keep tearing her down. Today, in the wee hours of the morning my husband woke me telling me that my sister was on her way to the hospital for her transplant. I wept. Not from sadness, but from relief, joy, and overwhelming feeling of gratitude towards God for giving her this precious gift. Just a few moments ago I received a phone call from my sister's friend informing me that the transplant has been postponed, yet again. The reasons are valid. The Dr. performing the transplant has concerns about some of her medical history and wants answers. Answers that, a previous hospital, should have provided before now. She now has some more testing that she needs to undergo. Testing that will hopefully reveal why her kidney's failed in the first place, as well as why her heart became so weak so quickly after her seizure.

I completely understand the reasons. That does not mean I am not heartbroken and devastated for her. She has been fighting for so long. I know that her transplant will happen when it is meant to happen. It is hard to not feel a sense of sorrow though. She has fought so hard and so long that one would think she wouldn't have to endure this any longer. Yet she continues to fight for her life and take the necessary steps to insure her future with everyone here who loves her. She is a fighter. I pray that God gives her the strength to get through this. I know this can't be easy for her. I know how hard it is on me. I can only imagine that it is 1000 times worse for her.

Sending my thoughts and prayers to her in her time of need. I love you sis!

Wow! These past weeks have zipped by me. Life has gotten extremely hectic and as usual I forget to update my blog.

This week for my Project Happiness post I am sharing one simple picture that speaks a ton of words. It is truly a testament to how much our lives are changing. I am excited about the upcoming changes.

We found out on Father's Day, so needless to say it was a rather interesting day here at the house. We had it confirmed on Monday and excitedly shared the news with all of our loved ones. I have never felt a mix of emotions like the ones I experienced on Father's Day. Our lives are about to take on a change we did not know was going to happen or not. Wow! What a blessing.

Wow! I can hardly believe that it has been two weeks since my last post. Time has really gotten away from me. The last couple of weeks we have been extremely busy with the end of the year activities at my son's school. Speaking of school. . . I can't believe he graduated Pre-K this year. It is so hard to believe that it is summer vacation already! Yikes! This week for Project Happiness I thought I would share a very bitter sweet memory for me. . .

Shane's Diploma

With it being a very special day I decided to do something a little extra special for his class. This was in no way required. I just thought it was a really big milestone for these kids and they deserved something a little special.

Cougar Paw Cupcakes

Since the day was so special they put on a special performance for the parents. They worked so hard on their songs and dances. I was really proud of all of the students. Here they are sitting patiently as the parents arrived for the special day.

Graduating Class

We were really lucky to have teachers who really cared about all of their students. They were patient, loving, and kind. It really saddened me and the rest of the class to see the year end. While I know they are moving on to more wonderful teachers, it is hard to ignore the bond that is created between teacher and student. Shane loved each and every one of his teachers. He had three. His teacher and two para-assistants. I hope that bond will never be broken.

It is clearly obvious that they each care about their students. We were extremely lucky to have such devoted teachers for our little boys first year in school. Thank you to all of the teachers out there who love their students unconditionally, but most of all for being teachers.

Sheesh! Time is just flying by. It is really hard for me to believe that it is already Tuesday and time for another Project Happiness post. So without further ado. . . For this week's Project~ Happiness, I decided to go with something that I do not do often enough, but I absolutely love it when I do.

Cooking with my Babes

I do not let them in the kitchen with me near enough. Mainly because I am afraid they will get hurt, which she did. She was an absolute trooper about it though. Brother is in school during the day, so unfortunately he missed out on the food fun. Daddy was home in bed sick with the tummy bug; however, my day does not stand still just because sickness hits our home. I decided I needed to go make our Sloppy Joe's and stick the mix in the freezer. I do this often. M was walking down the hallway and asked me if she could come cook with me. "Absolutely!", I said. She climbed up on her chair. As I cut the veggies she so eagerly stirred them. I was beyond proud of her. I can't wait until the kids get a little older, so they can take up more of the responsibility in the kitchen. Here are a few more photos from our fun-filled morning of cooking.

One of the greatest things about having a child in school are the little surprises they bring home for you. . .

Just for mommy. . .

I love presents. Who doesn't? I love the gifts that really mean something. Things my I know my family put time and effort into making for me. They mean the most too me. S painted this flower pot for me at school. When he gave it to me, he had such a look of pride. It was really a moment that melted my heart.

The other gifts I received were made by S and M at Lowe's and Home Depot over Mother's Day weekend. Both stores have Children's Workshops, were kids can go in and build these little projects.

I thoroughly enjoy it when I have both of my kids home. S did not have school Friday because it was Good Friday. With both of the kids home I decided to do something fun for lunch.

Tortilla Pizza

I went to the store and grabbed everything we would need. Tortillas, pizza sauce, cheese, and all of our other favorite pizza toppings. I let the kids each make their own (which is always the most fun). We had an absolute blast and I could tell the kids enjoyed "making" their own lunch. Tortilla pizza is such a quick, easy, and fun lunch idea. I think I will incorporate it into our lunch schedule while S is out of school for the summer.

I started doing this once upon a time and completely let flounder. I don't know why I start things and can't finish them. I stumbled across Leigh vs. Laundry's blog again yesterday (because I follow her on facebook too) and decided I was going to start participating again. So here we go. . . this is technically Week #7, but my Week #1.

Houston Zoo

We decided we wanted to take the kids to the zoo; unfortunately, we live in an area that does not have a local zoo. The closest zoo to us is 3 hours away, but from what I heard it is not a very good zoo. So, the beginning of April we decided to pack up and head to Houston (10 hours away). We had a blast visiting family and taking the kids to the zoo. They had so much fun going through this little tube that ran through this large tank. S went through it a couple of times and M went through it way more than a couple. According to Grandma (who we got separated from), M went through the tunnel 10 times while we were waiting outside for them. I loved seeing the pure excitement on the kids faces. Life ~ I can hardly believe that the last time I updated was at the end of November. Here it is the end of February. Sheesh! Life has gotten extremely hectic. I have almost completed 4 courses since going back to school. I am enjoying it immensely. I do hate the time that it takes away from my family and my scrapping. I love that, after completing my degree, I will be able to help support my family.

Since school has been occupying the majority of my time my layouts have been getting done kind of late, but they have been getting done. Happy Friday everyone! I am so glad it's the weekend. I have been working feverishly trying to get caught up on things and I'm still not. Enough about me and on to this weeks new releases for Dawn aka Daybreak Scraps.

Dawn has been working feverishly too. She has some amazing new kits out this weekend and a couple are some seriously sweet collabs she did for her guest spot at Sunshine Studios this month. She also has her October Color Play items for her store at Elemental Scraps. Told you she was a busy bee this week.

First she has her collab with Pink Reptile Designs called Sugar & Spice. This was such a fun kit to work with. I love the color palette, the chili peppers, flowers, papers, ribbons. The list could go on and on really. It is available at Sunshine Studios for the month of October.

Dawn also did another collab with Ellie Lash. Yep you read that right, Ellie Lash. It's a sweetly spook~tacular Halloween kit. It is full of spook~tacular elements for your trick or treaters. Hi everyone! Jess aka Simply Scrappy has some fabulous new releases today. First up is i (heart) digiscrap. Well if you LOVE to digital scrapbook this is going to be an absolute must for your scrapping arsenal. I had an absolute blast working with this kit. I love the soft colors of the palette. Hey Everyone! I'm popping in really quick to tell you about some great new releases from Simply Scrappy. I haven't had the chance to work with everything yet but I did get a chance to snag Family Reunion. Jess also has an awesome template pack that go with Family Reunion. This kit just blows my mind. I love everything from the word bits to the papers and everything in between. It really is a perfect kit for many different LO's but I decided to go with the them of the kit. So, I scrapped a pic of my wonderful husband (he's the tall drink of water) with his siblings at this years family reunion. Thrifty is really perfect for a variety of photos! Danyale has created, yet again, some fabulous alpha set to go along with the kit. Yes I know I'm slacking and I'm making up for it today. I have lots to tell you all. So lets get started.

Today was the beginning of a very hard road for me. I went in to fill out some paperwork for my oldest, who's only 4, to see if he met all of the qualifications for school. He did still qualify and he officially starts school on August 23rd. I'm truly devastated. I was trying to prepare myself mentally but I guess I failed miserably. So it's official, my baby is growing up. . . and I'm definitely not ready for it. Time to start school clothes shopping. . .

Sweet Digi Scraps has a couple of very cute new kits that hit the store today. Sibling Love is such a sweet kit. It works for all types of sibling relationships. The papers are stunning. The elements are da bomb! The alpha for the kit is uber adorable too. Sibling Love is one of those kits that will work for so many different types of layouts. Well I had settled on a photo of H, the kids and I. Then I woke up thinking I know a different picture that makes me completely happy. I took the following picture on a trip to Houston for Christmas. Hey everyone! I'm back with another fab kit to show off! I really love being about of the Creative Team at Digital Scrap Cafe. I picked Smile by Pure Creativity Designs to work with this go round. I took some adorable pictures of the kidlets brushing their teeth and this kit was perfect for that. Do you have pics of your kidlets at the dentists office or brushing their teeth? I had the chance to work with Strawberry Girl by Catia Cunha. Such an adorable kit. She seriously has some talent. These papers and elements are just adorable. I can see myself using this kit over and over. This kit is perfect for those precious little girls in your life, a strawberry patch, or even your favorite strawberry dessert. As some of you may know. I had decided to get back into the CT portion of the digi world. I applied for 2 CT's. 1 I didn't get, which was a little disappointing, but the other 1 I got accepted too. I am super thrilled to be creating for Digital Scrap Cafe. I already have my first kit that I am working with. It's super cute boy kit. So as I've mentioned I've decided to get back out into digiland. For the month of May I participated in the May Daze Challenges at Elemental Scraps. I had a blast doing the challenges. I forgot how much fun it could be. So I thought I would share just a few of my layouts that I created. I won't bore you with all of them, but just some of my favorites. I am not including all of the credits but each image will be linked so you can check out the credits. So without further ado. . .

On a side note, I was not accepted to 1 of the CT's I applied for. However, I was accepted to the other one. Taking the Plunge

After much consideration and arm twisting from a very dear friend of mine. I've decided to take the plunge back into CT work. I've applied to a couple of CT's in the last couple of days. It's been awhile since I was really "active" in the digiland so I'm trying to not get my hopes up. I think it will be fun getting back involved in digiland. Many of you know that I stepped back when the designers I was creating for decided to retire for their families. I wasn't sure at the time if I was going to CT again. I'm thinking it would be fun to get back out there and expand my horizons again. So as I learn my destiny with the CT Calls I will be passing it along to you. We shall see.

So I've decided that after I get a new laptop (which should be in a few months) I am going to try my hand at designing again. I've done a few mini kits and paper packs a while back and actually enjoyed it. Well I enjoyed making the papers, the elements I always find difficult. I just thought it would be a fun little creative outlet for me. I won't be selling in any stores. Everything I make will be given away as freebies here on my blog. I'll come back and keep everyone updated as to what is going on and when you should be expecting my first freebie. Rather absent lately. . .

I know I've been rather absent here lately. Things have been extremely crazy as real life tends to get.

One day I had to put my darling Megan in timeout because she was being bad. Well while she was in timeout she decided she wanted to fry my laptop. She poured water on it and yep it's fried. Luckily, the HD is still good so I was able to pull everything I had on there off. So I've been in a little bit of a funk lately because I want to scrap but am completely unable to because my dinosaur of a desktops processor isn't good enough to run any of the programs I can use. So I'm just kind of been in a blah kind of mood.

Then if that wasn't enough, the other day my wonderful hubby sent me a text and I went to go respond and the screen on my cell is completely white. I can't do a master reset on it because it's touch screen and doing the power cycle didn't fix the problem. So I called t mobile and they have a replacement on the way to me now. It should be here sometime tomorrow. I've already tracked it this morning. LOL

So I guess I've just not really been in the mood to do much of anything. Scrapping is my release and I haven't been able to do that. I have a very dear friend that will be working on a new blog look for me soon. I've decided it's kind of time for something a little spring like. I get tired of the same look after a while.

The other day our weather was nice enough for us to go out and play for a few. So that's exactly what we did. The kids and the dog enjoyed being outside in the sunshine. I pretty much enjoyed it myself. I broke out the camera and ended up getting some great pics of the kids. It had been a while since I've taken pictures. I'm not sure why though. I so enjoy taking pics of the kids I have no idea why I don't take them more often. I can't remember the last time they had so much fun. It's been decent weather around here but not decent enough for the kidlets to go out and play. So I'm going to run and play with the kiddies, but I wanted to leave you all with some of my new favorite photos of the kiddies from the other day.

Rachel aka Steel City Scraps. She has decided to go on a design hiatus for who knows how long. :( I'm devastated my this news but I can completely understand. Her love for her family is so overwhelmingly strong, that she decided it was time to hang up her designer hat for now. She hasn't decided when or if she will be coming back into the designing world so she's decided to close up her shops at Scrappity-Doo-Dah and Inspiration Lane. A Heavy Heart . . .

So yesterday I walked away from one of my great true loves. Granted it is only temporarily it's time that I begin to refocus my attention back to my real life true loves. My kids and my husband. Shane is starting school in the fall, I can hardly believe it, so it made me think that I should be working with him more to prepare him for school than spending my time scrapping. Although I've had a wonderful creating for the fabulous ladies I had the chance to work with it's just time to refocus my attention for now. I'm hoping to take the plunge back into Creative Team work once Shane starts school and gets settled down in his new routine. After all that will free up approximately 2 hours for me during the day since Megan will still be napping. It was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make in a while. I felt like I was letting so many people who have just welcomed me and my non experience at the time with open arms. Their truly are wonderful people left in the world. I'm not sure how much updating I will be able to do on my blog, but I will be keeping in touch. Who knows maybe I'll have some little freebies coming out in the not so near future. You just never know what life has in store for you.

that you toss and turn for hours. Your brain never seems to shut off. The other night I lay in bed for over 2 hours trying to go to sleep. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING that has gone on in the last 2 months just seemed to be running thru my mind. Things I wish I would of said to people who ticked me off or did me wrong, people who are hurting, people who pretend to be something they aren't. You know those kinds of people. I being just the type of person I am hold everything in as much as possible and then it tears at my insides until I feel like I'm going to explode. I do everything I can to be there for everyone and yet sometimes I feel like no one stops to think how things might be affecting me. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who really stops and takes the time to think about how things might be affecting the other people around me. Have people really become so thoughtless about others that they just don't care what/who they hurt? Don't answer that. The answer is obvious. Yes, many people have lost all compassion for other people. I won't say everyone has lost their compassion because I do know many people who have an enourmous heart full of love and compassion for others, but there are those few people that you thought were close to you and they just aren't. Those are the people I wish I could separate myself from but is just impossible to do so.

Any how, I'll be back in a few with some great new releases coming out this weekend.

Hey everyone! I'm back for a quick second with some new stuff from Rachel aka Steel City Scraps. She has been hard at work to bring you these super adorable new products..

First is Don't Feed the Dinosaurs. A great kit for all of those little boys in your life. I just loved working with this kit. I love the boyish colors, but the elements are to die for. You have your usuals but for fun you even get a volcano, a couple of dinosaurs, dinosaur eggs, etc. So much fun packed in this kit.

Second is a set of Project 365 templates. Even if you aren't doing 365 these templates are an absolute must for your arsenal. Each template has a place for 7, yes 7 photos. I'm not one to put more than 3 photos on a layout but these templates make it so easy to do.

Last but not least is an absolutely precious little mini called Loving Moments. This mini is perfect for scrapping photos of you and your honey or even those precious little girls in your life. Loving Moments is full of soft pastel colors. Great for so many layouts.

Memory Lane

First of all if you prefer not to read about my life feel free to skip this post.

There is just something about this time of year that brings all of the memories flooding back. I remember before I had children and how fulfilling my life is now that I have kids. I remember all of the family gatherings we had before we moved. I remember how close me and my sisters used to be. I miss so many of these things. I miss those family gatherings that we used to have for no reason. I miss the closeness our family used to have. It saddens me to think that we will never have that closeness again, but I know we won't. It saddens me to know that the only time I get to see family is during the Holidays because we live so far away. Yes we are still in the same state but Texas is huge and it takes 10 hours to get to where we really truly want to be. Celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with family.

Megan turns 2 this week. I can hardly believe that it's been 2 years since we had her. Where does the time go? It doesn't seem fair that she's growing up so fast. That Shane will be starting school next school year. It doesn't seem possible that she isn't that small sweet little baby I held in my arms such a short couple of years ago. I miss the baby smell. If you are a parent, then you know what I'm talking about. I miss the endless hours of snuggling and hugs. How they used to fall asleep in my arms. Don't get me wrong. I love the hours of playtime and one on one time we get now. I love that they are both old enough to walk and talk. I love to watch them run and play. I love listening to them laughing. I guess there are just things we have to get used to as time moves on. It just makes me a little sad and happy all at the same time.

Enough of my rambling. I'll let you all get back to your life.

I've been working hard on creating a new look for my blog. Please excuse the mess as I get things exactly the way I want them. I'm looking for a new photo sharing website to upload my background too. I don't like how photobucket keeps reducing the size of my background and I refuse to go to a Pro account just for my blog background since I don't make very many of them. LOL If anyone knows of a good site please feel free to leave me a comment.

Hey everyone! I know it's been about a month or so since my last blog post. Shame on me. Life has gotten in the way and I have a ton of stuff to update everyone about but that will have to wait til later.

Shel of Shel Belle Scraps has a new kit coming out starting on Sunday. You can grab pieces of her kit for free on her blog throughout next week. After that she will be putting the kit in her store at Stuff to Scrap.

This newest kits is one of my favorites of hers. It's called Glee. Yes after the new show. I love the show and I just love this kit. It was so much fun to work with this kit.

Ok it's been awhile since I got RAK'ed. For those of you who don't know what a RAK is it is a Random Act of Kindness in the digi scrapping community. One of my all time favorite designers, Flergs, RAK'ed me with one of her newest kits. I absolutely love her stuff and I was so excited when I got the private message from her. I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since I've blogged.

I have been in a horrible funk and I just haven't really felt the urge to do anything. I have lots to catch you up on though.

We just celebrated Shane's birthday. I can't believe my baby boy is now 4. Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital having him. His birthday was very bitter sweet for me. I was excited but yet sad all at the same time. I love seeing how much he has accomplished, but at the same time it makes me sad because he's growing up and he doesn't need me to do as much for him. Sometimes I wish they could stay little forever. I know it isn't possible, but I sure do wish it sometimes. Other times I can't wait for him to grow up. LOL He starts school next year. I can't hardly believe that.

Megan is getting so big. She loves playing with Shane even though he gets really rough with her sometimes. I'm waiting for the day when she stands up to him. I'll let her too. Lord only knows how much picking on her he has done. One of these days it will be her turn to pick on him. LOL

I got a great photo of the kids playing out in the sandbox the other day. They were 'fighting' and I actually got the photo and sand is falling down in front of them. I adore the photo. It truly is one of those Kodak moments.

Tomorrow we are taking the kids either to the park to play or to Aunt Pam's for a bit. We haven't really decided just yet. The weather is starting to turn cooler so we want them to be able to enjoy as much of the outdoors as they can before it gets to cold.

I am hoping to have a freebie for you all soon. I'm trying to work myself out of this funk but so far nothing as worked. I'm thinking I might need a mini vacation. LOL

I think that about does it for me tonight. I leave you all with my new favorite photo of my munchkins.

Hey everyone! I know I've seriously been neglecting my blog. Sometimes I just get into a funk and don't feel like blogging or much of anything else. I'm working on a new freebie that will be available sometime next week so keep checking back.

The Apple doesn't fall far from the Tree!

Do you know this saying? It is so true. I've been carefully studying Megan's eating habits and she is just like me. She loves pasta. She sits there and picks the pasta out of everything and leaves the meat. Have I mentioned I LOVE pasta?! It's so funny because not only is she a big pasta eater but she loves salad stuff too. It just cracks me up. Shane on the other hand isn't to crazy about pasta. He prefers meats. It doesn't matter what kind to him as long as it is meat. He's just like H. Shane does love salad stuff too. In fact, he eats tomatoes whole. Just like if it were an apple. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I would always eat salad when I was pregnant with them. We still eat lots of salads to this day. Mainly for lunches and even as a little side dish with dinner. Anyway, I just thought it was funny how much Megan is like me and Shane is like H.

We have a fairly busy end of the week ahead of us but I am planning on making time to take the kids swimming. We haven't been in forever and it's almost the end of the season. Soon the weather will be turning cooler and we won't be able to go swimming until next year. Needless to say I want to take advantage of it as much as possible.

SYPO Challenge

Inspiration Lane is celebrating their 1 year birthday this month. In honor of their birthday they have tons of things going on. One of those is the Scrap Your Pants Off Challenge. I signed up to participate in the challenge. The rules of the challenge is to create 2 layouts using the mini kit provided. No biggie right. Well you have to use every item in the mini between the 2 layouts. After the 1st weeks challenge is over it goes to voting. 25 people will be moving on to week 2. I hope I get through to the next round. The first mini was provided by simply.scraps. Isn't she talented? Here is a preview of the mini we got to work with.

A little funny

I have a funny to share with you all today. Yesterday we took the kids out to lunch and we did some shopping. Well we went to Arby's for lunch and we are sitting there enjoying our lunch and just hanging out. We were getting ready to leave and Shane hadn't finished his popcorn chicken or his curly fries. So he was putting them back in his kids' meal bag when H went to help him. Shane's response to that was "Don't touch my popcorn chicken." It was so funny we couldn't help but bust out laughing. The things kids say.

New look

Megan got her very first hair cut ever today. She was so good. I am so very proud of her. She didn't cry or anything. She just sat there and let the lady cut her hair. She looks so grown up with her hair cut. I can't believe it. Shane got his hair cut too. I don't have any pics of his yet, but I will take some later on after I get them cleaned up. I just couldn't miss hers on camera. It was her first after all. Isn't she cute?

Has it really been 6 days since my last post? You can blame the fabulous ladies I ct for. LOL They have been hard at working creating some fab kits. I'll be posting some previews of these kits and my layouts in the next few days.

Our life here has gotten a little crazy. This weekend we are taking the kids to get haircuts. This will be Megan's first haircut. So I'm trying to find something that I like that isn't going to take off much length. I hope I don't cry. LOL

The kids have been crazy. It's been raining here so we haven't really been able to go outside and play. The kids have tons of extra built up energy because of this so this weekend we are planning on taking the kids to the park. Let's hope the weather works with us in those plans. LOL I know I'm ready to get out of the house for a bit. We are also planning on taking them to lunch before we go to the park. That should give them lots of energy to run off. We haven't decided on a place to go for lunch though. I'm thinking Chuck E. Cheese or Mr. Gatti's. We'll see where we end up though. LOL

Well I guess I'm going to run for now. H will be home soon and I still need to get ready to go grocery shopping and pay bills. Woo Hoo Just kidding! I hate bills. Sometimes I wish I were still a teenager living at home so I wouldn't have to pay bills. Then again if I were a teenager living at home I wouldn't have my darling munchkins! Maybe being an adult isn't so bad after all. I've been blessed with my bossy little kids. I say bossy because as I'm finishing up this post Shane is telling me he wants me to go get something for him. What's wrong with him getting it himself? Nothing! He just thinks he's the boss.

Thank goodness it's finally rained! We have been in dire need of some serious rainfall. The last two days we've gotten some great rainfall. Everything is starting to look so green and pretty. It's not supposed to rain for the next couple of days but rain returns to the forecast next week. 5 out of 7 days we are supposed to get some sort of rain. I hope we do. It's been so dry here. We are finally got over our average of precip. for the year so far. Woo Hoo! I am so excited about that. I know I'm weird but when you live in Texas you get excited when it rains and is cool. LOL Well I'm off to take some Aleve. I over did things today and I'm pretty sore.

Vacation Over

Well if you can call it a vacation. LOL I don't really consider a pinched nerve a vacation but I've had lots of down time the last few days. H goes back to work tomorrow so I thought I would give it a try today without my muscle relaxers. Well I made it all day without them but I'm in some pretty serious pain right now. I don't know how I'm going to make it until Friday. Friday is his next day off. I guess I'll just have to deal with things the best that I can. I'll take Aleve for the pain because the pain meds make me drowsy as well as the muscle relaxer. I'll take the muscle relaxer in the evening when he gets home this way if I crash on the couch at least he will be here to watch the kids. LOL Today wasn't to bad without them but I know it would of been much better with them.

I got to sleep in this morning. That was a nice treat. Shane and I got up around 10 this morning. I have no idea what time H got up. It's not very often I get to sleep in like that. It was definitely a nice treat. He's taken such good care of me these last couple of days. I'm going to be lost without him tomorrow. LOL

My to do list tomorrow includes lots of laying around and playing with the kids. I have a couple loads of laundry to do but Shane will help me do those. He's blossoming into such a big helper. Megan is even starting to help put clothes in the dryer. She hasn't quite mastered pushing the button to turn the dryer on but she's learning. I can't wait until they are both old enough to actually do all the laundry themselves. ROFL Well I think that's it for me tonight. I'm about to head off to bed for some much needed ZZZZZZ's.

Wow!

Where has the time gone? I've been so busy with scrapbooking stuff and then I hurt my back. Apparently I pinched or tweaked some muscle or nerve on Wednesday and then again on Thursday. Thursday evening I went to the ER. I am now on pain meds for obviously the pain and a muscle relaxer to help with the muscle spasms. I'm feeling a little better today but the dr. said it could take up to 2 weeks for it to heal completely. The only downfall to the meds is that they make me extremely drowsy. I sleep a good 10 hours a night and during the day I end up taking at least a 2 hour nap. The rest of my time is spent sitting/laying on the couch hanging out with the family. I haven't hardly been on at all. I will be without the pain meds and muscle relaxers on Tuesday because H goes back to work. So I guess we'll see how healed up I am on Tuesday.

The kids are so awesome! I love them dearly. They continue to be their normal rambunctous selves. I guess I couldn't expect anything different from them. H has been a god send these last couple of days. He's been doing all of the cleaning. The only thing I've done is cook dinner yesterday and tonight. He does all of the dishes, sweeping, giving the kids baths. It's been awesome being able to kick back and relax. I couldn't ask for a better husband. Just when I've begun to accept some of his habits he turns around and does stuff like this for me. He's truly a blessing in my life. Well, the meds are starting to kick in so I guess I'm off for tonight.
